Basil from AH #

I thought it’s not possible to regrow herb pots from the supermarket. But my girlfriend proved me wrong!

So a while back I went to AH and got a basil plant and replanted it now it’s growing and we harvest it from time to time.

The secret to regrow these pots is to take the plant out of the pot and separate the roots from each other. These pots have a lot of plants squeezed to fit into the tiny pot. Once you take the individual stems and plant them again they grow.

Sun Flower #

On 2026-06-16 I found this leaf with small spots. Looks like sap sucking pest eggs. It was from my sunflower plant outside. I cut the leaves that were infected. I sprayed the plant itself. Hoping it would recover. Sunflowers are more susceptible to pests. Any sunflower that I planted in the last 2 years was infested with pests. So it requires more care.

Olive Tree #

In the morning I found two olive trees in the streets! I was thinking should I pick them up on my way back home from work or now. You don’t find these every day in the street. So I went back and took them home. Messaged Yasaman to take them inside and water them. She also pruned them and cleaned their pots.

Next day I changed their pots. Now they have many little sprouts. Waiting to see what happens. They look beautiful.

Hydrangea #

This is the Hydrangea plant from This plant is two years old post. I found it in a bad condition on the streets and it almost lost all the leaves and flowers in the first day but it’s growing back.

I found this plant on the streets as well. Infested with pests.

Bell Pepper #

Unknown Plant #

I found this plant on the street along with a lot of other pots. Most of them was completely dry but this one had small sprouts.

I took it and along the way I dropped it. I saw small inspects coming out of the pot. They had hard shells a body that was narrow at the back and wider near the head with more than 10 legs. Some moving fast and some slow.

But anyway I wanted to save this plant so they didn’t stop me. And after I looked it up they were woodlice. Although its’ name is misleading they are not harmful creatures. They are actually responsible for creating humus in the soil.

I swirled the plant in water before taking it home just to clean all the previous soil. That soil probably was there for many months. Now it’s in the balcony. I’m waiting for it to grow to know what it is. I’m also not sure if this would survive or not given the rough situation it had on the street and other plants were dead.
